My mother bowls twice a week, but last weekend she was involved in a car accident. Everything is alright, but she is a little sore. This week, I substituted for her in the mixed league. There was some controversy as to whether a male could substitute for a female bowler, but it was cleared up and I got to do some free bowling. I guess I didn’t weigh down the team too much, because they won two of three games and total. That puts them squarely in first place. I almost had a scare when my loser nephew Jamie almost beat me in the third game. Luckily, he kept missing spares.
