Back when I had both of the kids under my roof, I can remember the vacations we had. Even though we were Floridians through and through, we never had your typical Orlando vacations. Back before my ex-wife took everything from me, I was a highly trained weekend warrior working for the county sheriff’s department. At the time, I was too overweight to be an effective beat cop, so they relegated me to traffic duty. In fact, I only one time even had to reach for a gun, but I did at least have my own weapon and certification.
