I know there is this stereotype about women owning a lot of shoes, but people like my daughter Jess are who help cement it. She has at least two hundred pairs of shoes that almost completely sill her closet. I would guess there are probably a hundred pairs she has never wore. In fact, shopping the other day she got some tall shoes that she called “sexy boots.” I own about four pairs of shoes myself, one for golf, one for bowling, one for work, and the dress shoes I wore to my wedding and subsequent divorce.

I used to have a few different checking accounts at several different banks, with a limited amount of funds i each account. I signed up for various accounts here and there because of some perk offered. One time, a certain bank offered a hundred dollar shopping spree for switching to their checking. This cycle happened a couple of times until I decided to consolidate my life savings of 24 dollars into one big account.

When I had a house and family, I was always concerned about their safety and the safety of our things. Insurance came through in a big way, and I even had family insurance to make sure nothing ever happened to us. It helped me sleep soundly at night knowing I would get tons of cash if anything should happen to my family, God rest their souls.

I was having dinner with some of my friends from school the other day when I got a painful injury. I was seated at the end of the table when they passed the appetizers down my way. You know how they usually warn you when a plate is hot? This is the one time they didn’t. I grabbed a plate of fries and came away with a Miracle burn on my thumb. Needless to say, this didn’t help my appetite.

I am proud of the fact I have had just held five jobs my whole life. I have never been at a job for less than a five year span. Now I am looking into the possibilities of being an airport security officer. I hope my stint with the Sheriff’s Office of Jackson County looks good on the resume, which my nephew Jamie helped me send out.
