welcome to my blog
Kenneth Brock, that is me. I spend my days blogging and I figured I would share some things while I am doing it... So basically that is all there is.

My mom has been going to therapy after her car accident. It’s at this rehab and gym facility. While she was there, she learned about a group discount for gym memberships. I think if she joins, I will get on her deal. I need to work out and get into shape some more. I hear they have a lot of nice equipment, like a full range of weight machines, stair lifts, and other aerobic machines.

My daughter has lost her apartment for some unknown reason and has decided to come live with me for a while. I still have an extra bedroom where my son used to reside before I kicked him to the curb. Anyway, she is taking a trip to North Carolina on a cheap airline. She is going to spend Christmas with her family up there in Wilmington. As if her mom hadn’t taken enough from me, I now hear she is living the high life from playing the Wilmington NC real estate game correctly and earning a ton of money.

I have to feel bad for athletes like Rick Ankiel of the St. Louis Cardinals. He had an inexplicable mental lapse in the playoffs and eventually dropped off the map as a pitcher. When he was in the minor leagues trying to work his way back up, he endured thousands of fans making fun of his plight. Last year, after tons of work, he resurfaced as an outfielder, something unheard of in modern baseball: a pitcher turned full time outfielder! Of course, people were ready and willing to break him down in any way possible. They found out he got HGH for surgery in 2004, and all of a sudden his amazing comeback story dropped off the map. I am tired of people trying to tear this guy down! He has a great accomplishment that no medically prescribed hormone can take away.

Has anyone else seen these God-awful uniforms the Tampa Bay “Rays” are going to be using next year? It’s almost enough to make me want to throw up. These things are beyond terrible. First of all, they had a unique color in their last green scheme, now what are they? The same color as every other team in the league. Blue. The logo is so generic, you can’t even tell the Ray is intended to be a sea creature. All you can assume of they are the Rays of sunshine or some other fairy thing.

It took me a minute to dissect this video of a Japanese baseball pitch. I was expecting some kind of complicated throw giving the ball some awkward spin that drive it crazy, but it is much simpler than that. It is still effective, however. I wish we had this guy in the bullpen in Tampa Bay.
