Whenever I move, I am going to have a place with a pool. Back in the day, everyone around here had screened-in pools. That is not the case any longer. After all of the hurricanes, people are moving away from that. Now, I guess I will just have a nice patio with some quality teak furniture. Whenever the threat of a hurricans comes on, I can just move it all indoors.

Have you ever heard of this mountain hillbilly named Jesco White? If not, you have to see him. Go to YouTube and look for his name or for the “Dancing Outlaw.” It is a documentary about a mountain tap dancer who is trying to overcome his addiction to inhalants and depression to become famous. Watch him in his troubled marriage or how mad he gets whenever he leaves his Elvis-style vintage sunglasses at a relatives house. Words cannot express it, so just go check it out.

I recently went to West Virginia to see my brother. I spent like a week. I can’t really say I did anything amazing, but it was a needed change of pace. The one bad thing that happened up there, though, was that the airline damaged my suitcase when they were performing security checks on it. I couldn’t zip it back up. Because of that they gave me a complimentary Rimowa suitcase, which is actually very nice. I came home with a new suitcase and a week of rest and relaxation in the mountains.

I am excited about this year’s annual bowling tournament. The last time I got to go, it was held in Corpus Cristi, Texas. Not exactly the most stunning of locales, but it was alright. The last few years, I have missed Reno and Salt Lake City due to health problems. This year, if all goes well, I should make it to Las Vegas for the tournament. The only trick is finding a suitable hotel in Vegas. For someone like me, it isn’t a problem because they have me on the rolodex of big spenders.

You know, in my younger days I never gave two thoughts to donate car. When I had a piece of junk, and I went through many, I would often sell it for scrap metal. Of course, cars today aren’t even made with metal so they are valueless as scrap. That is why I found you can save a bunch of tax money writing off donated cars. I found out about this place that makes Jesus videos out of money they get from junk cars. What better way to bring the message of Jesus to little kids? With Dora the Explorer and everything else abound these days, I am glad there is a bilingual Christian option.
