welcome to my blog
Kenneth Brock, that is me. I spend my days blogging and I figured I would share some things while I am doing it... So basically that is all there is.

My apartment is not known for its superior lighting. In fact, it is known for having the least light humanly possible. I don’t even know how my body produces enough vitamins without any sunlight, but I digress. I realized after slipping in the bathroom the other day that I was in desperate need of some bathroom lights. When I save enough money, I will go down and get something from Lowes.

My mom has been going to therapy after her car accident. It’s at this rehab and gym facility. While she was there, she learned about a group discount for gym memberships. I think if she joins, I will get on her deal. I need to work out and get into shape some more. I hear they have a lot of nice equipment, like a full range of weight machines, stair lifts, and other aerobic machines.

I was bored today, so I flipped on the television to watch the Learning Channel. They were talking about every day chemicals that make little things in life possible. I remember distinctly the segment about Curcumin. Apparently, this acidic root derivative plays a vital role with tumeric paper, as the curcumin will change from yellow to brown when exposed to alkaline.

I don’t have the greatest of luck when it comes to health issues. First of all, I have been heavy my entire life. This complicates everything so it seems. The next thing that happened was my bout with cancer. A few surgeries and treatments later, I was cancer free but forever scarred. Then they told me about my diabetes, which meant a major lifestyle change, including pills that make me cough like a smoker, almost as if I have mesothelioma.

When I lost my job a few months ago, they gave me a severance package that included extending my health care and pay benefits for one year after departure. It has been nearly one year now, so I am getting really desperate to find some affordable individual health insurance. I have a bunch of preexisting conditions, in fact all the red flags: cancer patient, overweight, high blood pressure and cholesterol, heart problems, diabetes. The good news is that I don’t smoke or drink so I guess that should be a plus.
